Are you ready? Let’s begin... Begin on your hands and knees with your feet together. Your hands should be shoulder-width apart. Place your left hand on top of your right hand so that they are stacked directly on top of each other. Slowly lift up your head, chest, shoulders, back, and hips off of the floor so that you are in a table-top position. Keep your hips as close to the ground as possible while keeping a flat back. Hold for five seconds and then slowly lower yourself back down. Repeat 10 times. This pose is great because it works on both your upper body strength and core stability!

Go into the child’s pose by coming onto all fours with your arms straight out in front of you and your knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Then, walk yourself forward until your forehead touches the mat or until it feels comfortable enough to rest against something soft like a pillow or blanket if you have one handy. Hold for five seconds and then slowly walk back up to starting position. Repeat 10 times. This is a great stretch that works on flexibility as well as opening up your chest!

Start in the downward-facing dog (see above) but lift up both legs so that they are parallel with each other and about six inches off of the ground. Hold for five seconds and then lower them back down slowly. Repeat 10 times. This pose is great because it not only stretches out your hamstrings but also works on core strength! Start by standing up straight with your feet together. Then, bend over at a 90-degree angle and place your hands on top of your knees or thighs. Make sure to keep a flat back as you do so; don’t let yourself hunch forward or slouch backward! Hold for five seconds and then slowly stand upright again. Repeat 10 times. Start in a standing position with your feet together. Bend over at a 90-degree angle while placing your hands on top of your knees or thighs. Keep a flat back as you do so; don’t let yourself hunch forward or slouch backward! Hold for five seconds and then slowly stand upright again. Repeat 10 times. This pose is perfect for strengthening your lower body while also working on balance! Lie down on your back and bend both legs at a 90-degree angle so that they are touching each other. Your toes should be pointing up towards the ceiling, directly above your head. Lift up both arms off of the ground until they are perpendicular to your torso, making sure to keep them shoulder-width apart from each other at all times. Then, hold for five seconds before lowering them back down to their original position. Repeat 10 times. This stretch works wonders on stretching out those tight hamstrings!

Slowly straighten out one leg behind you, keeping it as straight as possible, then lift up onto that foot so that you’re balancing on one leg in a lunge position.
